I believe that we are all in the middle of a big, beautiful movie. It’s being directed by God, and it’s ultimately about redemption. Sometimes, in the middle of long days and dirty diapers and loneliness and way too much coffee, we catch glimpses of what’s unfolding all around us. I’m trying to grab those moments and hold on to them.
At the beginning, I had no idea who God was. I thought that he barely tolerated sinners, and that I had to earn his love. In college, I almost gave up on Him altogether. The past few years have been a slow unfolding of a larger, more hopeful vision than I had ever imagined. And all this tangled up in the life of a guy called Jesus. These words that I write are my attempts at experiencing all this – the big movie, the hopeful vision, the loving God.
Sometimes I also write for A Deeper Story and So Worth Loving.
I have a college degree, a one story-house in Arkansas, a motorcycle, a lovely wife, and two small boys. It’s a good life.
